The Texas Board of Architectural Examiners' policy is to respond to each written complaint concerning the Board's services within 10 working days. If resolution is not possible within that timeframe, the response to the complainant will indicate when the customer service representative expects to provide a resolution.

Other suggestions or complaints, including complaints alleging a violation of Board rules by a registrant or a nonregistrant, may be submitted to the agency for resolution through established methods.

The mission of the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE) is to serve the State of Texas by protecting and preserving the health, safety, and welfare of the Texans who live, work, and play in the built environment through the regulation of the practice of architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design.

In order to become registered, TBAE registrants meet all requirements in statute and rule at the time of initial registration. The process of becoming registered can be found in our How to Apply section, and ongoing requirements to maintain licensure are found in Texas statute and agency rules.
