The Texas Board of Architectural Examiners regulates the practice of architecture in the state of Texas.

Architecture is defined by the state as practice that occurs within specific parameters. The title "architect" is a regulated term which means that only those who have become licensed professionals may legally call themselves an architect. The mission of the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE) is to serve the State of Texas by protecting and preserving the health, safety, and welfare of the Texans who live, work, and play in the built environment through the regulation of the practice of architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design.
