On March 13, 2020 Governor Greg Abbott issued a directive to state agencies concerning COVID-19. As part of this directive, Governor Abbott encouraged state agencies to consider how to effectively utilize telecommuting. The Texas Board of Architectural Examiners is implementing telework for all staff. Upcoming staff outreach and travel also have been canceled or postponed, in accordance with social distancing recommendations.
During this time there may be some delay in responding to phone calls. In order to continue to provide the high level of service that you expect from TBAE, while also keeping our employees healthy and safe, we recommend that you use email for communications and delivery of documents. TBAE also will continue to receive US mail, though normal daily mail processing will change to weekly processing.
If you have a question or concern regarding the COVID-19 outbreak or how TBAE is handling it, please write to COVID19@tbae.texas.gov COVID19@tbae.texas.gov and we will contact you as quickly as possible. We appreciate your understanding during these difficult times, and we wish everyone the best.

The mission of the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE) is to serve the State of Texas by protecting and preserving the health, safety, and welfare of the Texans who live, work, and play in the built environment through the regulation of the practice of architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design.
