Four-year Rule Review Initiated
Texas law requires state agencies, including TBAE, to undergo a comprehensive rule review every four years. During this process, the agency reviews all currently enacted rules to determine if they should be continued, amended, or repealed.
The Notice of Intent to Review has been published in the Texas Register.
The agency will determine whether the reasons for adopting or readopting these rules continue to exist by answering the following questions for each rule:
- Is it obsolete?
- Does it reflect current legal and policy considerations?
- Is it in alignment with the current procedures of the Board?
The rules being reviewed are contained in these chapters of Title 22, Part 1, of the Texas Administrative Code:
- Chapter 1. Architects
- Chapter 3. Landscape Architects
- Chapter 5. Registered Interior Designers
- Chapter 7. Administration
